Configuring Shopify Orders for Multiple Warehouses
Why Use Multiple Shopify Locations?
Some brands fulfil orders from multiple warehouses.
For example:
UK orders fulfilled internally
International orders fulfilled by Pimento
Shopify Locations allow orders to be assigned to the correct warehouse before they are downloaded into Pimento.
This allows brands to control which warehouse fulfils specific orders without needing manual intervention.
How to Activate a Shopify Location
Navigate to Shopify → Settings → Locations.
Create a new location or activate an existing location that will be used for fulfilment.
Once activated, Shopify can assign orders to that location based on the fulfilment rules configured within Shopify.
If a location is inactive, it cannot be used for order routing or fulfilment.
Selecting the Shopify Location in Pimento
Once the location has been activated within Shopify:
Navigate to Settings → Integrations.
Open your Shopify integration.
Locate the Shopify Locations dropdown.
Select the Shopify Location that Pimento should fulfil from.
Save your changes.
Pimento will only download orders assigned to the selected Shopify Location.
How Orders are Assigned
Order assignment is controlled by Shopify.
If multiple locations exist, Shopify determines which location should fulfil the order based on the fulfilment configuration and inventory availability.
Pimento does not decide which location an order is assigned to.
If an order has been assigned to a different location, it will not be downloaded into Pimento.
Troubleshooting Orders Not Downloading
If orders are not appearing in Pimento:
Check the Shopify Location is active
Confirm the location is selected within the Pimento Shopify integration
Verify the order has been assigned to the correct Shopify Location
Ensure inventory exists at the location if Shopify routing rules require inventory availability
In most cases, orders are assigned to a different Shopify Location than the one selected in Pimento.
