Creating a Single Location
What is Single Location Creation?
Single Location creation allows you to manually create one warehouse location at a time within Pimento.
This is useful when:
Adding a small number of new locations
Expanding warehouse shelving gradually
Creating temporary storage areas
Making adjustments to an existing warehouse layout
Zone
The Zone field determines which warehouse section the location belongs to.
For example:
Bulk
Cosmetics
Fashion
Zones help organise warehouse inventory into logical sections.
Aisle
The Aisle field represents the aisle or section identifier inside the warehouse.
This is usually the first major section of the warehouse location structure.
Bay
The Bay field represents the physical bay or shelving section inside the aisle.
Level
The Level field represents the vertical shelf or level position.
For example:
Lower shelving
Mid shelving
Upper shelving
Bin
The Bin field represents the exact storage position within the location.
This is often the most precise location reference for inventory placement.
Description
The Description field is the readable warehouse location reference.
For example:
A-1-1-1
B-1-1-2
If left blank, Pimento may automatically generate the description using the location structure provided.
