Creating Additional Tasks from the Reports Summary Page

What are Additional Tasks?

Additional Tasks allow you to create and track warehouse activities that are not directly tied to a customer order.

These tasks help warehouse teams organise operational work such as:

  • Stock Checks

  • Returns Processing

  • Kitting Projects

  • Barcoding Activities

Instead of managing these jobs outside the platform, they can be tracked directly from the Reports Summary page.

How to Create a New Task

Navigate to:

Reports → Summary

Scroll to the Additional Tasks section.

To create a task:

  1. Select the Client the task relates to.

  2. Select a Task Type.

  3. Enter a description explaining the work required.

  4. Choose a deadline.

  5. Click Submit.

Once submitted, the task will appear in the Additional Tasks section.

Selecting a Client

The Client field determines which customer the work relates to.

Examples:

  • Stock count for a specific client

  • Returns processing for a client

  • Product relabelling work

Associating tasks with a client makes reporting and tracking easier.

Selecting a Task Type

Pimento currently supports several task categories including:

  • Barcoding

  • Kitting

  • Stock Check

  • Returns

The selected type helps categorise work and improve reporting visibility.

Description Field

The Description / SKUs field should contain enough information for the assigned warehouse team to complete the work.

Examples include:

  • SKU references

  • Product names

  • Task instructions

  • Quantity requirements

The more information provided, the easier it is for warehouse staff to complete the task accurately.

Using Additional Tasks

Additional Tasks can be used to:

  • Track non-order warehouse work

  • Assign operational priorities

  • Monitor completion deadlines

  • Improve visibility across warehouse teams

This helps ensure important operational activities are not forgotten during busy fulfilment periods.

Do Additional Tasks affect customer orders?
