Inventory Upload Page Overview
What is the Inventory Upload Page?
The Inventory Upload Page is designed to help businesses transfer inventory from an existing warehouse management system into Pimento.
Using a CSV file, large quantities of stock can be imported quickly without manually creating inventory records.

What Can Be Uploaded?
The inventory upload process supports:
Product SKUs
Inventory quantities
Warehouse locations
Lot codes
Expiry dates
Sell-by dates
Manufacture dates
This allows businesses to migrate both stock levels and tracking information during onboarding.
Downloading the CSV Template
Before uploading inventory, download the provided CSV template.
The template contains the required columns and formatting needed for a successful import.
Using the template helps prevent upload errors and ensures all information is mapped correctly.
Selecting a Client
Before uploading inventory, select the client that the inventory belongs to.
All imported stock will be associated with the selected client account.
Uploading the Inventory File
Once your CSV has been completed:
Select the client.
Choose your CSV file.
Click Upload Inventory.
Allow the system to process the file.
Pimento will validate the information and create the inventory records.

Important Notes
Warehouse locations should already exist before uploading inventory.

No. Inventory requires valid warehouse locations to be assigned.
Can I upload expiry dates?
