A PO number is a reference used to identify a specific purchase order between a buyer and a supplier.
PO numbers are commonly used in B2B operations and warehouse receiving.
They are used to:
• Match deliveries to orders
• Track purchases
• Provide a reference for incoming stock
Some warehouses or businesses require a PO number for deliveries to be accepted.
